Job Opportunity: Safety Compliance Advisor (Heating, Electrics & Lifts)
Service Area: Building Safety Compliance
Reports to: Building Compliance Manager (Heating, Electrics & Lifts)
The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Safety Compliance Advisor to support the effective management of gas, electrical, and lift safety across our housing portfolio. This is a key role ensuring properties remain fully compliant with all regulatory and statutory requirements, contributing to the safety and confidence of customers, colleagues, and partners.
In addition to major compliance areas, the role also involves oversight of smaller safety and servicing responsibilities, including other heating systems, door entry systems, and alarms.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure all properties meet current regulations for cyclical servicing, maintenance, lift certification, and other related safety requirements
Support the implementation of systems and processes to prevent non-compliance
Manage a range of programmed works, ensuring timely delivery and statutory compliance
Assign, monitor, and validate remedial works completed by internal teams or external contractors
Manage communications and follow-up actions relating to regulatory Authorities
Analyse and reconcile data from compliance systems to identify trends and ensure accuracy
Adjust work programmes where necessary, keeping customers and management informed
Provide technical advice on heating and electrical compliance
Monitor programmed works budgets and ensure value for money
Lead internal compliance projects as required
Build strong working relationships with internal teams, contractors, and partners
Support internal and external audit processes
Manage compliance contracts, including scheduling and documenting monthly meetings
Coordinate specialist surveys required for statutory compliance
Ensure all health and safety responsibilities are met across activities
Maintain accurate and timely records within the asset management system
Review, update, and communicate procedures to ensure ongoing best practice
