Are you passionate about asset management, sustainability, and driving housing decarbonisation? We are assisting a client based in Buckinghamshire who is looking for an Asset Sustainability Manager to lead on their asset management, sustainability and decarbonisation strategy.
The Role:
This pivotal role will shape the transformation of the property portfolio, ensuring homes are well maintained, energy efficient, and aligned with government carbon reduction targets.
You’ll also oversee asset data management, stock investment planning, and provide leadership to the Asset Data & Property Support Administrator.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver Asset Management, Sustainability and Environmental Strategy, ensuring compliance with regulation and legislation.
Lead stock investment planning, ensuring Decent Homes standards are met and properties achieve EPC C by 2028, working towards full decarbonisation by 2050.
Manage and maintain robust asset data (Keystone), analysing stock condition and thermal efficiency to inform investment decisions.
Oversee delivery of capital projects, planned maintenance programmes, and regeneration initiatives.
Drive programme efficiency, value for money, and ensure effective procurement strategies for sustainability and investment works.
Lead tenant engagement processes, ensuring resident insight informs programmes and services.
Secure and manage external funding to support sustainability and energy efficiency improvements.
Provide strong leadership to your team, motivating staff, managing performance, and ensuring clarity of direction.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience in asset management, sustainability, housing investment and energy efficiency programmes.
Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of motivating teams and delivering consistent, high-quality services.
Skilled in asset data management, budget control, and long-term investment planning.
Ability to manage large- and small-scale property programmes, with knowledge of best practice in social housing.
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and report-writing skills.
Strong IT literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office and housing asset systems.
Passionate about sustainability, customer-focused, and committed to continuous improvement.
Qualifications Required:
Degree-level education in a property-related discipline (or equivalent experience).
Experience operating at management level within housing, property, development, or regeneration.
Experience of data analysis, asset systems, and property-related investment.
Full UK driving licence.
