We are seeking an experienced Building Safety Manager to lead the building safety function across a portfolio that includes Higher‑Risk Buildings and other buildings over 11 metres. This is a high‑profile role at a critical time, with responsibility for embedding robust building safety processes, strengthening risk management, and ensuring full compliance with evolving building safety legislation.

You will act as the visible lead for building safety, ensuring risks are identified, mitigated and continuously managed, while maintaining trust with residents, regulators, and internal stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and maintain a robust Building Safety Framework, ensuring ongoing compliance with all relevant legislation and guidance.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain Safety Cases and Safety Case Reports for Higher‑Risk Buildings and emerging in‑scope buildings.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with the Building Safety Regulator and other statutory bodies.
  • Maintain and assure the “Golden Thread” of building safety data, ensuring accurate, accessible and up‑to‑date records.
  • Embed a strong mandatory occurrence reporting culture across building safety activities.
  • Coordinate and oversee fire and structural safety risk assessments, ongoing inspections, and monitoring activities.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to ensure remedial actions are delivered effectively and on time.
  • Support meaningful resident engagement, ensuring safety information is clear, accessible and timely.
  • Provide building safety performance, risk and compliance reporting to senior leadership and executive teams.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in building safety, fire safety, or a related compliance discipline.
  • Strong understanding of fire and structural safety principles and how risks are assessed, controlled, and monitored.
  • Confident navigating complex regulatory frameworks, including the Building Safety Act and associated guidance.
  • A collaborative, confident communicator capable of influencing across teams and stakeholders.
  • Independent, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of decision‑making.
  • A genuine commitment to resident safety and continuous improvement.


Qualifications Required:

  • NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Building‑related qualification with evidence of ongoing CPD.
  • Experience producing and managing Safety Cases for Higher‑Risk Buildings.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to achieve and maintain a satisfactory DBS check.
