Chief Executive- Fairoak Housing Association
Kendal, Cumbria
Circa £84,000 plus 7% pension contribution
Not every Chief Executive role offers the chance to know the people whose lives are changed by your decisions.
Small enough to know our tenants by name. Experienced enough to make a lasting difference.
Fairoak provides specialist supported housing for adults with a learning disability and autistic people, helping people live independently, safely and with dignity in homes designed around their individual needs.
We are seeking a committed Chief Executive to lead the next chapter of our journey. This is a rare opportunity to join a highly respected, financially strong housing association where relationships matter, values drive decisions, and success is measured by the difference we make to people's lives.
With homes across Cumbria, North Lancashire, County Durham and Northumberland, Fairoak combines strong governance and professional standards with the warmth, responsiveness and personal connection of a small organisation. Working closely with tenants, families, colleagues, Board members and partners, you'll help shape our future while remaining connected to the people at the heart of everything we do.
Why Fairoak?
At Fairoak, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Lead an organisation with a clear social purpose and lasting impact.
- Work alongside a dedicated staff team and a supportive, engaged Board.
- Shape strategy, culture and future growth.
- Develop new opportunities and partnerships that increase housing choice for people with learning disabilities and autistic people.
- Make decisions that have a visible and meaningful impact on people's lives.
Who We're Looking For
You may already be a Chief Executive, Director or senior leader ready for your next challenge. Or this may be your first step into a Chief executive position.
Essentially, we're looking for someone who combines strategic thinking and sound business judgement with empathy, integrity and humility. You'll be able to build trusted relationships, lead with confidence, and share our commitment to providing excellent homes and services.
Above all, you'll believe, as we do, that everyone deserves a safe, high-quality home and the opportunity to live a life of choice, dignity and independence.
Inclusion and Belonging
At Fairoak, we value the unique perspective every person brings. We welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds and experiences and are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can contribute and succeed.
