The Role:

 We are seeking an Interim Compliance Contract Manager - Electrical, Fire, Lift  to lead and oversee compliance contracts across electrical inspections and testing, fire risk assessments and servicing, and lift maintenance. You will play a crucial role in ensuring 100% compliance and maintaining safe environments for residents and building users.

This role involves full contract management responsibility — including chairing monthly compliance meetings, tracking KPIs, ensuring accurate documentation, monitoring contractor performance, managing billing accuracy, and supporting procurement activity. You will also work closely with operational teams to resolve access issues, a key challenge across all compliance disciplines.

You’ll act as a key point of contact for residents, leaseholders, stakeholders and internal teams, representing the compliance function professionally and confidently.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage compliance contracts for electrical testing, fire risk assessments, and lift servicing.
  • Chair monthly contract meetings, monitor KPIs, record actions, and ensure follow‑through.
  • Support procurement and specification development for new and existing contracts.
  • Verify contractor invoices and ensure alignment with contract terms.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and contractors to resolve property access issues.
  • Provide compliance performance reporting and present data to management.
  • Support and deputise for the Compliance Manager as required.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, leaseholders, councillors and service teams.
  • Ensure consistent management, storage and monitoring of compliance documentation.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working within electrical or fire compliance environments.
  • Strong contractor management skills with the ability to drive performance.
  • Understanding of compliance regulations relating to electrical inspections, fire safety, and ideally LOLER.
  • Strong commercial awareness with proven cost‑control and budget‑management capability.
  • Competent IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and compliance systems.
  • Highly organised and methodical, with the ability to manage significant volumes of technical data.
  • Assertive communicator who can engage confidently with contractors, residents and senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to build trust, manage expectations, and maintain collaborative working relationships.

 

Special Requirements:

  • Occasional work outside normal hours may be required.
