If you’re an organised, proactive administrator with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for keeping things running smoothly, this interim opportunity offers a great chance to support a busy Compliance Team delivering essential safety services across housing operations.

 The Role

As Compliance Support Officer, you’ll play a key part in ensuring vital compliance activity is accurately recorded, well‑coordinated and delivered on time. You’ll support the Mechanical & Electrical Manager and wider Compliance Team with data management, reporting, contractor liaison and day‑to‑day administration that keeps residents safe and services running efficiently.

You’ll manage the compliance inbox, maintain SharePoint folders, collate certification, and help produce monthly KPI and Tenant Satisfaction Measure reports. You’ll also support “no access” procedures, raise bulk orders, and help ensure all compliance records meet GDPR and data protection requirements.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

  • Collate, record and maintain compliance data from contractors and internal teams
  • Produce monthly and ad‑hoc reports, charts and trend analysis
  • Maintain accurate certification, contractor records and compliance documentation
  • Manage the Compliance inbox, responding or escalating queries appropriately
  • Support “no access” processes including mail merges, escalations and legal referrals
  • Raise works orders and check invoices for accuracy
  • Liaise with contractors, colleagues and residents to support smooth service delivery
  • Provide administrative support across the Compliance and Property Services Teams

The Compliance Team oversees significant safety programmes, including:

  • 4,000 annual gas safety checks
  • 300 legionella checks
  • 300 fire risk assessments
  • 900 electrical tests
  • 600 asbestos surveys
  • 60 lift services
  • Around 16 combined compliance contracts

You’ll help ensure the data behind these essential services is accurate, timely and well‑managed.

👤 About You

You’ll bring:

  • Strong administrative experience
  • Excellent IT skills, especially Excel and databases
  • Confidence analysing large volumes of data
  • Good understanding of health & safety practices
  • Clear, professional communication skills
  • A collaborative, “can‑do” approach
  • Ability to work sensitively with residents and effectively with contractors

Experience in housing compliance or social housing is beneficial but not essential.
