Are you a strategic leader with a proven track record in housing development, asset management and driving organisational growth?
We are working on behalf of a forward-thinking housing provider in West London who are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Director of Development and Asset Management. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership with deep sector expertise, bringing innovation and credibility to deliver their development, growth and asset management agenda.
The Role:
As Director of Development and Asset Management, you’ll be part of the Executive Management Team, reporting to the Chief Executive and leading the Asset Management and Development Teams.
You will take overall responsibility for delivering development and growth strategy, ensuring homes are safe, secure, and well-maintained, while maximising the value of our asset base.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the review and implementation the Asset Management Strategy and oversee responsive repairs, planned maintenance and capital programmes.
Drive the delivery of development and growth initiatives, including new business opportunities, infill sites, temporary housing, joint ventures and regeneration projects.
Provide strategic advice to the Board and Chief Executive on development, asset and investment opportunities, ensuring value for money and long-term sustainability.
Build strong partnerships with stakeholders and development partners, maximising funding and ensuring design, quality and compliance standards are met.
Oversee the management of the housing and commercial portfolio, including remediation of defective stock and disposal of surplus properties.
Ensure compliance with health and safety, regulatory and statutory requirements across all property assets.
Contribute to the effective running of the organisation as part of the Executive Team, shaping strategy, business planning and risk management.
What We’re Looking For:
An inspirational leader with significant experience at a senior level in development and asset management within the housing sector.
Strong commercial acumen with a successful track record in securing funding, managing risk and delivering new business opportunities.
Proven ability to lead complex development projects, responsive and planned maintenance programmes, and large-scale property portfolios.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at Board and Executive level.
A collaborative, innovative leader who role models organisational values and inspires high performance.
Qualifications Required:
RICS qualification or equivalent professional accreditation.
Evidence of continued professional development.
