Performance Analyst

Interim (4 months, potential extension)

Housing Services | South East | £400 per day (via agency)

If you’re a data‑driven problem‑solver who loves turning numbers into meaningful insight, this interim Performance Analyst role offers the chance to make a real impact. You’ll help a busy Housing Service understand what’s working, what needs attention, and where improvements will make the biggest difference for residents.

Working as part of an Insight & Improvement function, you’ll take ownership of performance reporting, analysis, and visualisation—shaping how information is used by managers, senior leaders, and regulatory bodies. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys autonomy, variety, and the chance to influence service outcomes through high‑quality analytics.

What you’ll be doing

  • Developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and performance reports for managers, leadership teams, committees, and external regulators.
  • Analysing operational data to spot trends, risks, and opportunities—particularly across high‑profile areas such as repairs, voids, and damp & mould.
  • Creating, monitoring, and refining KPIs across Housing Services.
  • Ensuring data quality, consistency, and integrity across all reporting.
  • Supporting the production of Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSMs) and other regulatory submissions.
  • Contributing to the development of data warehouse and business intelligence solutions.
  • Identifying opportunities to automate reporting and improve data accessibility.
  • Providing ad‑hoc analysis and clear, accessible insight to non‑technical audiences.

What you’ll bring

Essential:

  • Degree‑level qualification or equivalent experience in data analytics, statistics, BI, or a related field.
  • Strong experience using Power BI, Excel, and data visualisation tools.
  • Confident working with databases, spreadsheets, and BI systems.
  • Solid understanding of performance frameworks and KPI development.
  • Ability to present complex information clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.

Desirable:

  • Experience in housing, local government, or wider public sector services.
  • Knowledge of housing performance measures, TSMs, and regulatory standards.
  • Understanding of social housing legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience with housing management systems and data quality governance.
  • Data warehouse experience.

Skills & attributes

  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and numerical skills.
  • Clear, confident communicator able to translate data into meaningful insight.
  • Highly organised with strong project management skills.
  • Able to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
