Working Pattern: Hybrid – 4 days office-based / 1 day remote (flexibility available)

Rate: £350 – £450 per day

Status: Inside IR35

Longevity : 12 months


The Role:

We are seeking a Project and Maintenance Officer to support the delivery of refurbishment, compliance, and upgrade projects across a diverse mixed-use property portfolio. This includes office campuses, schools, libraries, community and leisure facilities, as well as residential buildings.

You will play a key role in managing project mobilisation, coordinating specialists, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional with a strong background in maintenance or capital works, and a sound understanding of building compliance and health & safety.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the mobilisation and delivery of refurbishment, compliance, and improvement projects across a varied property portfolio.
  • Coordinate project resources, consultants, and specialists to ensure compliance actions are implemented, including fire safety, asbestos, legionella, M&E, and energy efficiency.
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, risks, and quality, ensuring delivery aligns with agreed programmes and standards.
  • Prepare clear project reports, documentation, and progress updates for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure all works comply with health & safety requirements, legislation, and organisational policies.
  • Draft and develop specifications, policies, procedures, and work plans to support current and future projects.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in project delivery within property, maintenance, facilities, or capital works environments.
  • Strong knowledge of building compliance, including fire safety, asbestos, legionella, and mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach with attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.


Qualifications Required:

  • Relevant qualifications or demonstrable experience in property, construction, building maintenance, or project management.
  • Sound understanding of health & safety legislation and best practice.
  • Strong IT skills, including reporting and document management.
