The Role:
We are seeking a Property Asset Manager to take a strategic lead on asset management planning and stock intelligence across a diverse property portfolio. This role will focus on shaping long‑term investment strategy, including the development and ownership of a 30‑year asset investment plan, ensuring data‑led decision making informs future priorities.
You will take responsibility for stock condition data, oversee the ongoing establishment of a new CAFM system, and play a key role in strengthening asset data and governance. This is a pivotal role at an exciting point of change, offering the opportunity to influence systems, strategy, and investment outcomes from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and management of a long‑term (30‑year) asset management and investment strategy.
- Take ownership of stock condition data, including the management and validation of stock condition surveys.
- Oversee the implementation and ongoing development of a newly launched CAFM system, supporting the creation of a robust asset database.
- Manage and support a Data Analyst, ensuring high‑quality data analysis, reporting, and insights.
- Use asset intelligence to inform capital investment planning, prioritisation, and value‑for‑money decisions.
- Work closely with property, surveying, and investment colleagues to align asset strategy with operational delivery.
- Ensure asset data supports compliance, sustainability, and long‑term portfolio performance objectives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of asset management processes, systems, and governance frameworks.
- Undertake occasional travel to support asset reviews, stakeholder engagement, or project activity as required.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong experience within asset management, property strategy, or investment planning.
- Ability to think strategically while remaining comfortable working with detailed stock data and systems.
- Proven experience using asset information to inform long‑term investment decisions.
- Confidence managing data, dashboards, and performance information, either directly or through others.
- Understanding of property, construction, and building lifecycle principles.
- A proactive, curious mindset with a desire to improve systems, processes, and outcomes.
Qualifications Required:
- Degree or equivalent experience in Asset Management, Property, Surveying, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of stock condition data, asset planning, and lifecycle modelling.
- Experience working with CAFM or asset management systems.
