The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Repairs Supervisor to lead a team of Roofing and Damp & Mould operatives, ensuring safe, high‑quality repairs and maintenance across occupied homes. You will provide day‑to‑day leadership, manage resources, oversee compliance with health & safety legislation and ensure effective planning, delivery and oversight of all damp, mould, and working‑at‑height activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Performance
- Provide visible leadership and direction to Roofing and Damp & Mould operatives.
- Hold regular 1:1s, team meetings and performance reviews.
- Allocate operatives, materials, and equipment to meet safety, quality and customer targets.
Health & Safety & Compliance
- Act as day‑to‑day H&S lead for roofing, damp/mould and height‑related work.
- Ensure full compliance with Work at Height Regulations and relevant building/H&S legislation.
- Approve and communicate RAMS for all relevant activities.
- Conduct site inspections, audits and corrective actions.
- Oversee safe use of scaffolding, access towers and height‑safety equipment.
Damp & Mould Oversight
- Manage damp and mould inspections, surveys and remediation work.
- Ensure appropriate materials, methods and resident communication.
- Coordinate roofing and damp teams where activities overlap.
Operational Delivery
- Use PDA/job management systems and Microsoft tools for updates, monitoring and reporting.
- Liaise with contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure compliant, efficient delivery.
- Act as escalation point for complex resident issues or complaints.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven supervisory experience in repairs, maintenance, roofing or construction.
- Strong understanding of working‑at‑height safety requirements.
- Experience leading teams and managing performance.
- Knowledge of RAMS, inspections and incident follow‑up.
- Excellent planning, organisation and multitasking skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to build rapport with residents and contractors.
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, Teams, PDA/job systems).
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- PASMA / IPAF certification.
- Working at Height & Asbestos Awareness training.
- First Aid at Work.
- IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH or similar H&S training.
- Supervisory or management qualification.
- Ability to pass a basic DBS check.
