 The Role:

 As the Repairs Supervisor, you will provide day‑to‑day leadership and oversight of repairs teams, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time and to a high standard. You will plan and allocate resources, manage performance, and act as the key point of contact for operational delivery, particularly in areas such as damp and mould remediation.

You will also ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations and building standards while maintaining a strong customer‑focused approach to service delivery.

 

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage repairs operatives, setting standards and monitoring performance.
  • Plan and schedule works, allocating labour, materials and resources effectively.
  • Act as the day‑to‑day Health & Safety lead, promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and procedures.
  • Carry out site inspections and safety audits, implementing corrective actions where needed.
  • Oversee works involving access equipment, ensuring safe use and appropriate training.
  • Manage damp and mould inspections and remediation programmes.
  • Coordinate multi‑trade works to ensure efficient delivery and minimal disruption.
  • Monitor progress using job management systems and produce performance updates.
  • Handle escalated resident issues and complaints professionally.
  • Liaise with contractors, specialists and internal teams to ensure effective service delivery.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within repairs, maintenance, construction or similar.
  • Strong team leadership skills with experience managing performance.
  • Solid understanding of Health & Safety requirements, particularly working at height.
  • Experience of risk assessments, method statements and site inspections.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage residents, contractors and colleagues.
  • IT‑literate with experience using Microsoft Office and job management systems.
  • Full UK driving licence.

 

Desirable:

  • PASMA and/or IPAF qualifications.
  • Working at Height or Asbestos Awareness training.
  • First Aid at Work certification.
  • IOSH, NEBOSH or similar Health & Safety qualification.
  • Formal supervisory or management qualification.
