Are you and qualified surveyor with with experience managing planned programmes, fire safety and risk assessments?
Do you have experience in property management, a good understanding and oversight of building maintenance, managing and maintaining databases as well as managing stakeholder relationships.
The Role:
- To monitor building compliance ensuring they meet the standards of appearance, safety and overall functionality by managing health and safety related tasks
- To manage statutory compliance in our blocks, carrying out site inspections, raising and following up on remedial actions
- To manage all planned works on site, ensuring the programme is delivered in a timely fashion
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain properties to a high level of building safety and compliance which meets statutory/regulatory requirements
- Lead on conducting, updating and maintaining all appropriate risk assessments
- Responsible for all health and safety remedial actions
- Lead on the standards for the maintenance of all building and external areas
- Conduct routine and periodic inspections of buildings to identify safety and risk management concerns
- Contribute to a regular programme of compliance testing
- Manage housing associations/managing agents management agreements
- Establish and manage health and safety systems for implementing and recording safe working practises
- Appointment of FRA actions to be managed and supported with all internal and external agents
- Work with the Head of Planned and Compliance to develop planned programmes and budgets

What We’re Looking For:
- Comprehensive understanding of building maintenance and health safety and compliance issues
- Ability to comply with statutory and legal requirements for fire and other health and safety compliance issues
- Good numeracy skills / Excellent IT skills / Good written and oral communication
- Ability to solve problems and make analytical judgments and decisions and manage and prioritise own workload
- Knowledge of basic function testing of emergency lighting, AOVs, fire panels and smoke detectors
- Knowledge of basic fire door and fire stopping elements
- Knowledge of Reform Act 2005 and building Safety Act 2023
Qualifications Required:
- IOSH certificate is a minimum although NEBOSH certificate preferred
- Technical member of the RICS (TechRICS) or relevant construction qualification
- HNC in Building and Construction
